Ear exam
Follow below steps to perform the exam:
- Connect the stethoscope module.
- Instruct the patient to breath normally.
- Place the stethoscope in the correct point and ensure the stethoscope’s membrane is fully applied to the body with its whole surface – the recording will start automatically after touching the skin.
- Wait for the recording to end automatically after 10 seconds.
- Click move forward (“>”) and place the stethoscope on the next point.
Find correct points where to place the stethoscope:
- Point 1 – locate two lines: a horizontal line at the level of the armpit and a vertical line running from the beginning of the collarbone, the point is located on the horizontal line and adjacent to the vertical line.
- Point 2 – is on the opposite side at the intersection of the same lines.
- Point 3 – is halfway along the sternum on the left.
- Point 4 – is located at the intersection of the horizontal line of the sternum and the vertical line running next to the nipple.

Avoid the most common mistakes:
- Patient breathing too deeply.
- Putting the stethoscope in the wrong place, on bones or clothing.
- Not waiting for the timeout to finish and moving the stethoscope.
